Burnaby, B.C. \u2013 It was an all-Canadian game in the Flight 1 final at the 2025 Pat Quinn Classic U15 Elite Invitational as Abbotsford\u2019s Yale Hockey Academy<\/strong><\/a> (Yale U15 Prep Lions) skated to a 4-1 victory against the Burnaby Winter Club<\/strong><\/a> (BWC U15 Prep).  Yale was undefeated in the tournament (5-0).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

American teams faced off in the Flight 2 final with the Seattle Junior Kraken<\/strong><\/a> U14 AAA scoring a 5-2 win over the Texas Tigers<\/strong><\/a> U15 AAA of Dallas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe want to win any competition that we are in for sure,\u201d said Brock Weitl, head coach of the Seattle Junior Kraken. \u201cThis was a big moment, because haven\u2019t had a ton of success this season, so when we play a tough team it\u2019s nice for us to get the apple at the end.\u201d This is the second time for the Seattle team in the U15 Elite Invitational. Weitl has high praise for this tournament. \u201cIt\u2019s put together really well, the refereeing has been great, along with the support from the staff.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m feeling amazing,\u201d said Seattle forward Nick Chung right after the win. \u201cWe had to push it and give it our all.\u201d Seattle ended the four-day tournament with a 4-1 record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s exciting to see the number of teams that are coming for this tournament,\u201d said Kalli Quinn, daughter of Pat Quinn. \u201cIt shows that this is a premier event that they want to be a part of. When you play teams from other areas, you see where you are in relation to your peers. I think this tournament is a great opportunity for the kids.\u201d  Quinn added the elite invitational provides a chance for a higher-calibre of play. \u201cIt\u2019s important to give everyone an experience with teams that are at the same level.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
