Pat Quinn Classic History

Home to the Burnaby Minor Hockey Association, Burnaby Winter Club, 12 hockey rinks and some legendary athletes and coaches - Burnaby is a perfect home for the Pat Quinn Classic. Joe Sakic, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Cliff Ronning, Paul Kariya, Darren McCarty, Chris Joesph, Karl Alzner, Greg Zanon and Byron Ritchie all played minor hockey in Burnaby and moved on to the NHL and Team Canada.

Burnaby’s impressive hockey history was recognized when the city hosted a stop in the 2014/15 Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour. Burnaby has hosted an international calibre bantam tournament for over 53 years. We are excited to partner with the Pat Quinn Legacy Fund to kick start the next chapter of this celebrated tournament – a chapter with new hockey partners and focus on charity and giving back to your community.
